Description:

Plantofort contains Plantago Ovata Powder as an active ingredient. When mixed with water, it forms an orange-flavoured drink that relieves constipation, regularizes bowel movements, and helps reduce cholesterol.

Composition:

Each 5 gm powder contains Plantago Ovata (Ispaghula Husk) powder 3.5 gm and other excipients q.s.

Indication:

Chronic Constipation, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Hemorrhoids or piles, and Hypercholesterolemia (high cholesterol).

Dosage & Administration:

Usual dose: 1 spoonful 1-3 times daily after meals with water. Adults & children over 12 years: 1 spoonful with water 2 times daily. Children 6 to 12 years: 1/2 to 1 spoonful 2 times daily. Drink immediately after mixing.

Drug Interaction:

No significant drug interaction has been observed with other medicines.

Side Effects:

Flatulence or no significant side effect has been observed at recommended doses.

Contraindications:

Contraindicated in patients with gastrointestinal tract obstruction or threatening obstruction of the bowel.

Pregnancy & Lactation:

Safe in pregnancy and lactation.
