Description:

Colic pain is a severe pain in the abdomen caused by wind, gas or obstruction in the intestines and suffered especially by babies. Colibid-N drop is specifically formulated to treat colic pain in infants and young children. Colibid-N is recommended for children who are lactose intolerant with abdominal colic pain due to gastrointestinal disturbances. It breaks down lactose into easily digestible glucose and galactose, thereby reducing fussiness, excessive crying, flatulence, and abdominal distension.

Composition:

Each 30 ml contains: Active Ingredient: Lactase 100 mg (eqv. to 3000 FCC per 30 ml). Excipients: Sodium Benzoate BP 0.03 mg, Pineapple Flavor Ph. Gr. 0.001 ml, Orange Colour Ph. Gr. 0.001 mg, DI Water BP q.s. to 30 ml.

Indication:

• Infant Colic Pain & Abdominal Gas • Gastroenteritis & Gastrointestinal Disturbances • Lactose Intolerance & Inability to Digest Milk • Esophagitis & Gastroesophageal Reflux (GERD) • Food Allergies & Milk Sensitivity • Crohn's Disease & Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) • Stomach Fullness, Abdominal Distension & Flatulence • Diarrhea, Vomiting & Constipation

Dosage & Administration:

Dosage & Administration: • For Infant & Children: 4-5 drops mixed with milk/formula or administered directly into baby's mouth prior to feeding, 3-4 times daily, or as directed by the registered physician. • Administration Modes: Can be given by spoon, dropper directly into mouth, mixed in milk/formula, applied on breast nipple before nursing, or mixed in warm food/drinks.

Drug Interaction:

Does not interact significantly with other pediatric medications. Heat can inactivate the lactase enzyme, so do not mix with boiling or excessively hot liquids.

Side Effects:

No significant side effects observed at designated therapeutic dosages.

Contraindications:

Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to lactase enzyme or any excipients.

Pregnancy & Lactation:

Primarily formulated for pediatric use. Safe during lactation if needed under physician guidance.
